NSi to present at MAVA's Capital Connection 2008

The Mid-Atlantic Venture Association (MAVA) today announced that 33 early through expansion stage companies have been selected to present during the Capital Connection(SM) 2008 venture fair May 27-28, 2008, at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. Representing the first group in a series of presenter

announcements for Capital Connection 2008, these companies span a wide range of industries, including e-commerce, Internet, media, security, software and wireless.

"For this year's fair we were fortunate to be presented with one of the strongest pools of applicants in many years," said Erik Rasmussen, vice president of Safeguard Scientifics Inc., one of the selection co-chairs for the event. "Capital Connection 2008 features a large number of new companies, which will give investors insight into emerging markets. Our early-stage presenters represent an array of great ideas and strong management teams, while the expansion companies are gaining traction and seeking additional capital to raise them to the next level."
The rigorous selection process for Capital Connection 2008 was led by selection co-chairs Rasmussen, Steve Fredrick of Grotech Ventures, Andrea Kaufman of Novak Biddle Venture Partners and Jonathan Perl of Boulder Ventures. The selection committee, comprised of more than 30 seasoned investors and advisors identified, analyzed and selected companies in a competitive selection process that has served as a best-of-class model emulated by venture fairs throughout the country for more than two decades.
