TOP COPIER DEALERS IN THE UNITED STATES | 7 MIN READ

You've made the decision to go with a copier dealer over a manufacturer and now you must decide which of the hundreds of copier dealers in the United States you should partner with. You're willing to work with a dealer that isn't headquartered in your state, so you begin to search. But how do you decide?

As one of the leading copier dealers in the United States that has worked with major companies with locations all over the world, we often get asked the question, "If I don't go with you, which other copier dealer in the United States would you choose?"

So, we decided to create an article that includes our top choices for copier dealers within the United States. We understand that by making this list, we are pointing potential customers to our competitors, but in the interest of being a helpful and trustworthy resource, we feel a sense of duty to create such a recommendation.

After all, Standard Office Systems' goal is to help customers no matter what.

How We Made Our List

To eliminate any bias in this list, we did not include ourselves and every recommendation is listed alphabetically. There are some requirements that must be met in order to be included in our list. Dealers must:

  1. Have more than one location
  2. Have a Google rating of 4-stars or higher, with at least 10 reviews and a positive industry reputation
  3. Carry more than one brand of copier
  4. Have a Glassdoor rating of 3-stars or higher
  5. Have a great reputation for outstanding service within the industry and is a member of the national Copier Dealer's Association

Multiple Locations

A copier dealer with multiple branches should be taken with a grain of salt. Yes, it is typically an indication of a company that is larger in size, but this metric used in making our list is the least valuable.

I speak about the Copier Dealer Network later on in the article, but membership to that group of dealers is virtually the same as working with a major manufacturer. In the blog about copier dealer vs manufacturers (linked above), one key point is that even manufacturers do not have branches everywhere and rely on the same Copier Dealer Network to get things done.

Google Rating

Google ratings are important because they are unfiltered views of customers' interactions. Typically, a customer has to have a particularly negative or positive experience to leave a Google review.

We settled on a minimum of 10 reviews to make our list because we feel that is the lowest number required to receive a fair customer assessment of a dealer in this industry.

This is a big one for us, but make sure you read the Google ratings. Look for consistent themes among customers who have left a review (both good and bad). If multiple people are saying it, it is more likely you will have the same experience.

Carries Multiple Brands

This is typical of most local copier dealers, but is still an important factor because there are significant advantages to carrying multiple copier brands (and is an advantage over working directly with a manufacturer). Dealers that carry more than one brand are more easily able to offer your business a solution that meets your needs and your budget.

By not being married to promoting a singular copier brand, dealers can afford to offer their customers an unbiased (at least between the two brands they carry) opinion of what is best for their customers.

Glassdoor Rating

Happy employees make happy customers, right? At Standard Office Systems, we think so too. That's why we made the employee ratings of a dealer an important factor in this list.

When employees are not happy in their work environment, they care less  about the company they work for. When they care less, customers suffer as a result. Additionally, happy employees are more likely to stay with a company, ensuring the most experienced and knowledgeable people are serving your multifunction printing needs.

Copier dealers in this list have a 3-star rating or higher on Glassdoor.

Great Service Reputation

There are other companies within the Copier Dealer's Association who could have made this list or would be on the shortlist for honorable mentions. The dealers below just stood out from the rest based on our criteria.

That being said, having a great reputation for service and support is the cornerstone of being a member of the Copier Dealer's Association. That's why we felt that membership to the CDA was important to be a consideration for making our list.
