Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America, a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation (SEC), announced that all 10 models in its Color Advanced and Essentials Series multifunction printer (MFP) line, ranging in speed from 30 ‐ 60 pages per minute (ppm), now support Pantone color matching. Together with its high-speed office and light production lineup, with speeds of 62 ‐ 75 ppm, Sharp now has 14 multifunction printer models that are Pantone-licensed. This valuable feature is an ideal fit for color-critical environments that rely on the Pantone Matching System®.

Traditionally, matching Pantone colors required color expertise and the use of expensive workflow software. Now the color analysts at Pantone expertly tuned the Pantone colors specifically for the Color Advanced and Essentials series. The carefully crafted color table faithfully, and easily, reproduces colors from the Pantone Coated Series of colors onto documents produced by Sharp MFPs.

“The Pantone Matching System is used by companies across a variety of industries to help distinguish their brand image through corporate logos, text, and more,” said Shane Coffey, Senior Director, Hardware Product Management, Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. “We are pleased to continue offering our customers advanced color management tools that are simple, streamlined and that achieve professional results.”

Pantone color matching for all Color Advanced and Essentials models, as well as the high-speed office and light production lineup, is currently available at no extra cost.
